Whether you agree with our new President's stand on certain issues or not, history has been made. With some negativity surrounding his election, and the poor economy, we are thankful to hear some positive remarks from our apostles about our new President, Barack Obama. Our Apostles words in this short interview are hopeful!! Shouldn't we stay hopeful too? What a perfect humbling example they are to us. We are with them as we hope and pray for our future as a country and as a people. Tell us what you think. =)

Hey peeps..

Emil got a promotion!! YAY!! Even in such difficult times, the Lord is giving us this blessing. We are SO thankful. We have so much to be grateful for and we know that blessings come in many different ways. We are humbled by this blessing. We continue to have confidence in His plan for us. We are always being watched over, and we feel it.

Emil is going to school full time w/ ALL online courses..he's so ambitious! He cares deeply about taking care of our little family, and it shows.

We've been getting into better shape. This is EXCITING news for us! We do the best we can, and it's starting to show. We've been playing Volleyball w/ the ward during the week..how do we squeeze it in? No idea! But we do it for about 2 hours twice a week. We've been walking for exercise too and eating better..we're working on it!

I've been doing good and busy working. I got a raise starting Jan. 1, enjoying my job all the time, and LOVE my calling! I'm doing SO many fun things for Primary this year I just can't wait..! It's taken COUNTLESS hours of prep already but so fun! I have an MRI this week for vertigo and other health issues..we'll let you know the results when we do...IF we feel like it ;)

The time has come...

So the time has come. These are our cats. They need a new home. I must admit my love for animals has got us into a mess! There's much I could say about them, but I'll hold off for those of you (or peeps you know) who are really interested in adding them to the "family". We are giving our selves until May to find them a home. Will you PLEASE help us??

Our Holidays and Our Flood! AHH!

We got to dog sit for some excellent friends of ours! Sadie is the beagle mix and Cona is the smaller doggie. They came over for a week and spent Christmas with us too. It was fun!..and a FULL house. 7 animals all at once!










Our Christmas was very nice and lazy..




It just SNOWED..lots and lots



We were thrilled to have my cuz Eve & her husband Brad join us for Christmas dinner!



They almost got snowed in...not that we would've minded having them. =) We had a such a fabulous time with them!



Kingston and Hoku's cuz Gus Gus came to visit New Years Eve! We played games with Aunt Elaine and Uncle Jim, Eve's parents, New Years Eve. It was SO FUN! We enjoyed every second.


It all started when....I finished giving Kingston a hair cut and bathing the dogs. I realized, I needed to make sure to wash they're doggie beds before I feel asleep. Around 12:30a.m. I remembered!

So here I am minding my own dreams, about 1:00a.m., when I wake up and think, "I better put the doggie beds in the dryer, so they can use them while we are at work"...then it kinda went like this...



Me: "AHHH!!! EMIL!!! There's water everywhere!!"
Emil: "What?!?"
Me: "Something w/ the washer...is loose..!"
Emil: ..he looks around and as he's walking notices the carpet is SOAKING wet.. "TOWELS!!" ..he shouts..
Me: ..laughing and grabbing every towel known to man/our little house.. "Alright!"
Emil: ..laughing with me.. "What the heck?! What can ya do? Just laugh I guess.."
Me: ..laughing more.. "I know it! This is crAZy SauCE man!"





Emil: "I wonder if the Kirby has a hook-up for something like this.."
Me: ..Thinking: I'm grateful he's listening to the Spirit! I love him so much...
Emil: ..getting the Kirby vacuum ready..AND it's working.. "Look Carrie!" =D
Me: "AWESOME BABE!! Good thinking!"
Emil: "It wasn't me, it was the Spirit." ..smiling at me..
Me: "I love you..this is CRAZY!" ..us both laughing..
Kingston and Hoku: "What the...?!?! We just took a bath! NOOO!!!" ..they don't like the weekly bath they get..



In case you didn't know, this flood JUST HAPPENED...Emil, as I type, is still using the Kirby to suck up the water..and it's kinda giving our carpet a shampoo too! HA! We figured out that when we had cleaned the filter the other day, the lid wasn't put back on tight enough..so when we started the washer, the water just came right back out! What a blessing that we have a KIRBY! What a blessing Emil listens to the Spirit. What a blessing...our carpet is getting cleaned. =)We won't know the complete damages for a bit..but, hopefully if it gets dry, it'll be alright. What an adventure!! BAAHHH!! LOL!
