The Vaca!

Day 1~We flew into Burbank in a tiny wittoe plane and headed to Bob's Big Boy to eat. There we saw "what's his name", as we called him, from the T.V. show Bones...David Paul..something. After getting settled when we got to the Hotel, Naomi and Stace went to Disney Land. Emil and I went to visit Emil's cousin and her family. It was such a great visit and we wish we could have visited more.
Day 2~We headed to Venice Beach, Cali style ;). From there we went back to our Hotel to get ready for the greatest show EVER, WICKED!!! Oh man! What an amazing show...the real story of the Witches. We ended the day ready for our Disney Land..which is where we were on...
Day 3~DISNEY LAND!!! We were there ALL day/14 hours all day, and we just enjoyed the sauce out of it!! After some great, great rides we relaxed and watched the fire works in the land where "dreams come true". We happened to be watching the fire works at "Princess Land". Well, I know of only one special Princess who had her dream come true that night...NAOMI!! Our niece Nava is the one we can thank for explaining to Stace, her fiance, how to "re-pose" (propose) correctly some time ago. He listened well because he did just that! Stace had sweet loving words to express to his Princess to be, for time and ALL eternity, and we congratulated the two of them. It was so sweet! What a treat to have shared such a special moment with them.
Day 4~We drove to San Diego and met up with our Aunt Laurie at Sea World. We enjoyed rides, shows, and lunch with her before she had get back home. It was great to see her! It made me wish I could visit her SO much more. While we were there, we happen to see another "celeb"..Kelsy Grammar. Haha! Crazy sauce! We really liked the shows and we even got to feed the dolphins. THAT was neat. We were SO sick of theme park food that we headed West of Sea World to a little place called, The Red Sails Inn. It was REALLY great food! From there we headed to see the San Diego Temple and it was amazing! It was just glowing! We all agreed that while Disney Land was SO great, this is were real dreams really can come true.
Day 5~We attended a Samoan ward in the morning and from there walked around town enjoying the sights of Anaheim. After that Huntington Beach was next! Emil and I got right in the Ocean and the waves were SO big! We caught so many of them, drifted off, and caught another taking us closer to shore. It was just so beautiful! We just felt so grateful for the wonderful trip. We KNEW we had special company and that we were being watched over.
We ate at the Cheescake Factory to end our trip. We were so blessed to have been able to do this and share it with Naomi and Stace! We all grew closer and we are already looking forward to our next trip together! YES!
Day 6~ We woke up craZy sAucE early and headed back to Burbank to catch our flight. We arrived in Utah and went our separate ways to face other responsibilities. Sad day..sigh. Malia, Emil's sister, was kinda enough to watch our "zoo" to make sure our pets were happy and our house didn't fall apart! Once we got home, we unpacked and then we took a nap. Emil woke up after about 2 hours to start homework. Well, I thought I would just sleep a bit more...well that turned into a 17 hour nap!! Awh, that was yummy. It was a great end to a great trip. We are thankful to Heavenly Father for allowing us to have such a lovely and safe Vaca Biz.

The Derb, the walk, and the piano
Nic, Ashley, and Mercydez Haws are in this picture. I have actually known Ashley since Elementary school but only until this year did we become close. We have all watched and talked with each other grow through great struggles in our lives. Mercydez has a Congenital Heart Disease. This sweet family is in a support group for other families that are dealing with, or have delt with, varies types of CHD. Sept. 6, they held a Fun run/walk to show support to this group and the families a part of it. I decided that I would make the trip just for this because I really do love them so much and I wanted to support this group who has done so much for them. I look up to this family so MUCH and can see the joy they have because they listen. I admire all that they have done for Mercydez, and how much patience Mercydez has had with her short yet challenging life. She is the ONLY baby I have even touched since Naimah has passed away...she moves me and I really love her.
So on the Wed. before this Fun run/walk, Emil and I drove to the UC (A.K.A. Utah County) after I worked half a day. We spent time with family, and spontaneously made arrangements to "hold" my parents electric piano until they can transport it home. I was planning to come back to Utah County for the run/walk and it worked out well for us to trade cars for a few days. YAY!! We can actually sing with a piano and use our talent!
So, I took a picture of a wasps nest that is in the door of my parents truck..how the heck?...
So after the support walk, I got home and took care of some things before we went to the DEMOLITION DERBY. Which was...SAWEET!.. We went with some friends, among them being Joe and Angela. We spend time with them about every weekend and it's just FunZA! The Derb was so entertaining that and I think I am going to enter it next season... ;)

On Sunday we had dinner with them and played Killer Bunnies. If you don't know what that card game is, you MUST! It's a blast. That evening we started packing and getting things ready for our trip to CA. We did that some more onm Monday. Today I went to the Chiro and learned that one of my legs is slightly longer the the left...hmm. Since I have been going, I have become about 1/2 inch taller..and counting! I have also been able to get some ribs that were out of place, back in place and really am being blessed from going.
We leave Tomorrow morning!! We are SO excited! We will make sure to post pics and share all the goodies when we get back.
