16 months old

You'd be 16 months old this month love! I just want you to know that I LOVE our little chats and miss you every day. Thank you for being such a good missionary. I'm proud to be your mother! Your daddy loves you. He misses you so very , very much. He misses late nights with you. He misses dancing and singing with you. He misses the look on your face when you got in the bath! I miss loosing more sleep watching you take naps. I miss getting you up from a nap and thinking, "Wow! She looks different. I didn't know babies changed that much." I miss your crying fits and you calming down when we'd go outside.

I wish I could see you and Kingston snuggle again like you use to. I miss getting to watch how he was able to get you to stop crying...sigh.

We wish we could be watching you crawl around and get into stuff, get more teeth, and be trying to talk a bit! But we are hopeful that all that we are missing with you right now, we will get to experience with you later.
But just so you know, we would do it all over again because it gave us you...Keep watching out for us!

~Love you always, Mommy and Daddy

Tagged!

I have finally been tagged! YAY! Thanks Ashley and Katie ;)

Tag, I'm it! It's a bit long winded but you'll like it. Promise.

1. I was an escape artist at a VERY young age. At about 4 years old, during my "naps" I would go out the front door..which had several deadbolts on it due to me. Once outside I let my curiosity and imagination get the better of me. One of these times, I started to race the cars on the street to see who was faster. Our dog Tank, seeing through a small opening in the fence, knew I was in danger. He chewed his way through the wood fence and when he was able he ran to me, grabbed my shirt with his teeth and pulled me to the sidewalk. A neighbor who saw it, told my parents that just at that second a car sped by and almost smashed us both. My dad said that they spent quite a long time getting all the splinters out of Tanks gum's and mouth that day, but were glad he'd saved my life. I am too!

2. I ate all the flowers, which were white, off a flower bush when I was 7, and I didn't even throw it up. However, I did get to feeling sick..so I thought I should eat another flower bush, but a different color, so I would feel better. The logic in this thinking? I have only one explanation: AGE. SO, I ate flowers off another bush, and those flowers were pink. Nothing happened until my mom found out..that's when I wished I had thrown up, because then I was busted w/o ANY sympathy for feeling sick!

3. On the way to my sister wedding, I got off the wrong exit and got a little lost.. This was my first experience driving to SLC behind the wheel, w/o any directions..b/c I left them at the house! I had some of my younger siblings and a few of my nephews and nieces in the suburban with me. While I was trying to figure out where to go, I saw a hitch hiker needing a lift so what do I do? Pick him up! Was I craZy? What if something had happened? Needless to say, we were quite late but FINALLY made it there safely.

4. My right arm has an army of freckles on it but my left arm hardly has none. Kind of like the piggy that went to the market... Not sure how come..but it's weird.

5. I sing words randomly. When I am mad, happy, sad, or anytime really. I often use the word "barUgAh" to express my frustration, or "funZA" to express something happy. Combine those words with a ridiculous vibrato and you get: Carolinese.

6. I can't reach most of our kitchen cupboards. I'm too short. So I have a "special step-stool", used for kids who are potty training. Guess that would make me, kitchen training...

7. I LOVE animals. Most all kinds. Currently my favorite are dogs. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, but I want MORE dogs! Of course they are work, but I want 5 one day. That day looks like it will have to wait until we have more of a settled family and circumstances. But it will come! Did you hear that Emil? I hope not..

The rules are for me to tag 7 other people. SO, I tag Mom, Sarah, Mary, Anne, Naomi, Esther, and Lose!

Prop 8

I don't do this very often; Caroline usually updates the blog for us and I am so appreciative of her doing that. With that said, I felt compelled to post this clip. I feel that this clip is HIGHLY important and for all to hear and learn from. I really like how it is mentioned that the definition of tolerance has changed to mean "acceptance of wrongful behavior at the price of friendship." Anyways, I hope this works and I hope this helps everyone know where we should stand regarding this issue.

Smile and wave, we're back!

Here are some of our next door neighbors. We just helped them move from their condo life to their new house! We love visiting them and enjoy their friendship. Pictured are 3 of their 5 kids and we enjoy all of them! McKay and Olivia are on the left..McKay wanted to be in another picture so he and his twin brother Payton are on the right. They LOVE our dogs and when we come over they are always asking, "Where is Hoku? Where is Kingston? Do they miss us?" Jacie is 11 yrs and the oldest. Jackson is next in line, then Olivia or Livy for short, and the twins. We had lunch with them today and I get to babysit them next week! Yay! They are SO much fun to hang out with and I really have fun with them. Boyd and Alyson, they're parents, are some of the most giving people we have met. They have always been there for us and we just love them!

The colors are changing! It's beautiful..and sad..but beautiful!
But it's been freEEzIng this week! We got snow already and the colors are already leaving. We really love Cache Valley, not only for how the colors translate, but how wonderful the people are here. It's been a blessing to be here.

Conference was uplifting, edifying, and filled us with conviction to improve! We were so blessed to have Lose, who is Em's sister, Kepu and KJ come and enjoy conference weekend with us! It was so nice to have time with them. KJ just LOVES the doggies and couldn't get enough. We had to separate him from them just to get him to eat something or else he would just play with them. I'm glad they came and it made us wish we could have more and more memories like this with them.
We love to laugh! Do you know this? We try to be cheerful and we really love life! We also, if you haven't noticed, LOVE animals! We even bathe the dogs once a week and brush they're teeth about every other day..seriously. I also give Kingston his hair cuts and I really enjoy that.
There is Kingston when he graduated..he's got some crazy eyes there.. I'm such a proud mommy! There is Em, with Asia. She is a SNUGGLER. She will just crawl up into our lap and get comfy.

Kingston got into the washer, somehow...and for some reason the look on his face tells me that it wasn't such a good idea. But it sure makes for a CUTE picture! Funny!

I've been tagged! My next post will explain...so watch for it peeps!
